EBMIA Board President

Eng. Getnet Belay Ferede was born on September 12, 1973, and has more than 22 years’ ample work experience in the areas of Operation, Maintenance & Engineering including the current Beverage industries and plastics recycling project under different organizations and NGOs. Prior to joining EBMIA on August 1, 2019, under the position of EBMIA Board President representing a sister company of ASKU PLC as General Manager (Now, he is also working as V/Chief Operations Officer in ABIG Management Services at head office) and all sector & association related members, he has assumed different low, middle and top-level managerial & leadership positions in different Government and Private sectors.

Eng. Getnet has exposure to more than 20 different professional and supportive training in Ethiopia and abroad. Out of them, his major areas and successful accomplishments of him are Leadership for customers (EDC Training), Business Management Course (BMC), and Management Development Course (MDC). He has played an important role in developing and implementing Systems, Soft Skills Training, Human Factor and Coaching Program through Practical Logbook concept from the knowledge and skill he has got ample experience in the best class industry; namely, Ethiopian Airlines in coordination with Boeing and Lufthansa airways. Eng. Getnet is a graduate of BSc. Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Addis Ababa University besides finalizing the final paper submission of Masters of MBA in International Business in Lincoln University via WUC College with a remarkable result.

His talented exposure and commitment in the area of Ethiopian Bottled Water & Soft Drink Manufacturing and Fruit & Vegetable Processing Industries significantly contribute in advising and directing effectively the Ethiopian Beverages Manufacturing Industries Association (EBMIA) as Board President.
